I enjoyed this puzzle from Petitjean and I thought it was pitched at just the right level of difficulty, though its cricketing references may make it a bit trickier for those unfamiliar with the Summer game.

Hola from the Vega Baja. Today we have the usual fine stuff from Jay but I’m not sure how to rate it for difficulty. I solved it well within 2* time, so that’s what I’ve gone for, but while writing the review I started to think that there’s some tricky stuff in here so 3* may be more realistic. Please let me know what you think!

Best puzzle of the week, thank you Virgilius. Some clues fall into easier to solve than explain territory, and it is impossible to pick favourites from so many good examples, although revisiting the crossword for the review has made the one clue I didn’t like ‘grow’ on me!

Morning All! I raced through this puzzle from Cephas and whilst reviewing it thought that there were some attractive clues but a few clues that were telegraphed (ahem) to the point that they went in without thinking.
