An enjoyable Anthony Plumb puzzle. I found it a fair bit trickier in the south than yesterday but suspect I may have made rather harder work of it than I ought to have.

After 4 lovely rounds of golf in the sunny Algarve last week it was back to the reality of splodging along rain sodden fairways yesterday in a staff v members day. I think I’m going to put the clubs away until next year.

Another very enjoyable Anthony Plumb puzzle that was maybe a tad trickier than yesterday but one that ought not to pose too many problems. Concisely clued as ever & with his usual gently misleading surfaces.

It has stopped snowing here in Harpenden but still a day for coats and woolly hats if venturing out. Alternatively stay warm & have a bash at Stephen’s puzzle in the Toughie slot.

Another pleasant & pretty straightforward ‘typically Tuesdayish’ puzzle from AP that was maybe a tad easier than yesterday’s Robyn production. Hopefully no mistakes in the hints (which I doubt many will need) as I’m off to the Odyssey cinema in St Albans to see a matinee showing of My Favourite Cake, which I read good things about – though with the sun shining & not too cold I’m rather regretting not having arranged to play golf instead.

I described one of Dada’s recent toughies as one of his gentlest ever and was met with a chorus of disagreement but, damn my eyes, I’m going to say it again!… Continue reading

A pleasant and not overly demanding puzzle to brighten up a dull start to the day here in Harpenden. As ever nicely clued & with a couple of gently misleading surfaces. About on a par with yesterday’s puzzle in terms of difficulty. Anyone who breezed through this one & is looking for a further challenge should have a bash at ALP’s excellent puzzle in Rookie Corner yesterday.
