The sun is out here in Harpenden so guess I’d better make the most of it & get out for a good walk before Cheltenham kicks off.
I thought today’s puzzle very enjoyable & about par for the course for a Tuesday. Possibly a tad trickier than yesterday but I wouldn’t say there’s much in it. For any seeking a further crossword I can heartily recommend Hudson’s excellent puzzle over in t’other place which really isn’t any more difficult than some of his Wednesday back-pagers & is great fun. I’m sure Whybird would be delighted to hear your thoughts.
As usual there is a selection of music to enjoy or ignore.

Well I don’t know whether or not strictly speaking spring is here but after yesterday’s warm sunshine & a similar start to the day here in Harpenden it certainly feels like it.
I thought today’s puzzle (from Anthony Plumb I assume) about on a par with X-Type yesterday. As ever tightly clued & perfectly enjoyable albeit for me at least not hitting the heights of last week so it’ll be interesting to see what others make of it.

Well the sunshine has actually put in an appearance here in Harpenden but it’s not Mallorca. Thanks again to ALP for filling in for me last week.
I thoroughly enjoyed today’s puzzle which I assume is an Anthony Plumb production. I found it reasonably straightforward with just a couple of pauses for the parsing. That said it remains to be seen whether I can avoid a hat trick of parsing errors so no promises. For any that make light work of this one there is a typically enjoyable & none too taxing Django puzzle over in t’other place that’s well worth a look at.
As usual there are an assortment of clips to enjoy or ignore.

Well it’s not raining yet here in Harpenden but it’s on the way & none too warm out there either.
Next week I’ll leave you in ALP’s expert hands as I’m off to 17d in Shabbo’s excellent Toughie to see if I can remember how to play golf & hopefully catch a bit of sunshine in the process. I’m sure his music choices will be more eclectic than mine.
No reverse anagrams to trip me up in today’s pretty gentle puzzle, which I’m sure is an Anthony Plumb production. As ever nicely clued throughout without for me quite hitting the heights of last week.

Yet another cold & dreary looking day here in Harpenden. Roll on spring & a return to the fairways.
As Senf would say a Typically Tuesdayish puzzle which I’m assuming is the work of Anthony Plumb. I think I was a little unfair on last week’s production & certainly out of kilter with the majority of comment so am rather relieved that I found this one very enjoyable for the relatively short time it lasted. As ever tightly clued & with some humour in there too.

I confess to feeling a little grouchy today after an indifferent night’s sleep then waking up to this depressingly miserable weather. This may well have something to do with my failure to drum up a great deal of enthusiasm for today’s puzzle. I’ll be interested to see what others think & I hope I’m missing something but it seemed to lack some of the usual sparkle & certainly none of last week’s risqué content.
I see Hudson is on duty over in t’other place so that is bound to be a puzzle worth checking out.

I thought today’s puzzle perhaps a tad tougher than Tuesdays of late although by no stretch a difficult grid fill. I assume that it’s an Anthony Plumb production & I thought it nicely clued throughout & very enjoyable. I see Chalicea is over in t’other place so that’s guaranteed to be worth a visit.

The usual fairly gentle Tuesday offering to ease us into the demands of sterner tests as the week progresses. I thought the puzzle (by Anthony Plumb I assume) maybe a tad trickier than yesterday but I doubt that it will detain experienced solvers for too long. I haven’t had a chance to look at it yet but I see Hudson is over in t’other place so that’s as good as guaranteed to be a cracker & I’m sure both Rob & Whybird would welcome comment.
As usual there are an assortment of musical clips to enjoy or ignore. Apologies that the title of a couple of ‘em give the game away but couldn’t resist including ‘em again.

As with last week I reckon that even by Tuesday standards today’s puzzle is on the gentle side so I doubt it will detain many for too long. Much like yesterday it was all over a bit too quickly but was nevertheless a pleasant & enjoyable solve & perfect for the less experienced solver. I assume it’s a Plumb production & as ever nicely clued throughout. For those looking for a further challenge Dada is over in t’other place with a puzzle that’s really no more difficult than his Sunday prize ones & worth looking at if only for 13a – plus I’m sure Whybird will be delighted to hear from you.

Even by Tuesday standards I’d rate today’s puzzle on the gentle side so I doubt it will detain many for long. Much like yesterday it was all over a bit too quickly but was nevertheless a pleasant & enjoyable solve. The only real head scratch was twigging the synonym for the 3rd word in the Quickie pun. I’ve not looked at it yet but I see that Chalicea is today’s setter over in t’other place so if she’s true to form that will be an entertaining & accessible puzzle.
