Absolutely superb stuff from Giovanni today. Some brilliant clues and some real laugh out loud moments.
I have really enjoyed doing this crosword and then writing the blog. I will be back on Monday (I hope) to tackle my first Rufus blog, until then please feel free to leave a comment.
If the hints are not enough to allow you to derive the answer, just highlight the space between the curly brackets!

An easier crossword than yesterday in my opinion. with generally good surface readings. However there is a real mixture of clue quality, the worst for me being 23d or 13a, whilst the extra star (two stars has been usual for a while) for enjoyment is for 1a.
If you highlight the space between the curly bracket, you will reveal the answer. Please leave a comment, and I hope the CC enjoy this one.

An improvement on last Thursday’s, but I still can’t get over excited. There are some good clues here, and some good surface readings, but the crossword on the whole is pulled down by the large number of its “same” style of clues and a general lack of inventiveness. Anyway “tant pis” as they say over here in France.
If you cannot decipher the answer from the hint, all you have to do is highlight the space in the curly brackets to reveal the answer.

Well its Thursday again. I liked 23d. Enough said really or am I being a bit harsh?
Please leave a comment if you have something to say, and if you can’t deduce the answer from the hint, highlighting the space between the curly brackets will reveal the answer.

A straight forward crossword today that should not cause many problems. Some of you will love it, some of you will dislike it. Personally I am just underwhelmed. Already looking forward to tomorrow.
If you can’t work out the answer from the hint, just highlight the space in the curly brackets.

I don’t expect much use of my hints today as this is certainly the easiest crossword of the week by far.
One of the stars for enjoyment is for 17a. One of the stars not given for enjoyment belongs to 16d.
If you disagree of agree with some of my thoughts, please leave a comment.
As usual if you wish to see the answer rather than the hint, all you have to do is highlight the space between the curly brackets.

An interesting crossword today, I started this at a brisk gallop, and then started to slow down, and continued to slow down until the last clue went in. Some of it is very straightforward, some of it is more complicated, but all in all an enjoyable piece of entertainment.

If you are a new visitor to the blog all you need to do is highlight the area between the curly brackets to see the full answer.

Its general knowledge cryptic crossword time again. An interesting, if not overly complicated puzzle which on reflection wasn’t too bad, but I can’t get excited about it. There are as usual a few issues which I have highlighted in the blog.
Please leave a comment telling us what you thought of todays crossword.
If you highlight the area between the curly brackets you can reveal the full answer.

Some of you will love this, for example on CluedUp at the moment it is showing 5 stars and 5 smiles, but I thought at times it was a bit clumsy. We have some weird surface readings at times, the abbreviation for son turns up three times, the cryptic definitions are only barely cryptic, and the use of final or first letters in clues is spread throughout the crossword.
If you want to see the answers all you have to do us highlight the space between the curly brackets. If you have an opinion on this crossword, please share it with us.
