NY Doorknob set us a Saturday Prize Puzzle where the wordy clues filled up all the available space allowed for it on the inside back page of the newspaper. A couple of ear worms were included to help you sing while you solved

I thought “the drink” was the sea and mistakenly input “seiva”; Portuguese translating as “verve”.
Confused me no end.
