No Rookie Corner Puzzle This Week
+ – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – +
There is no Rookie Corner puzzle this week because the RC queue is empty. We encourage new setters and current rookies to submit their puzzles to the Corner. Publication and feedback will naturally be rapid. For details on how to submit crosswords see this page.
What a shock! As far as I know, a Rookie Corner puzzle has been published every Monday since April 14th, 2014. It is one of BD’s many wonderful legacies to the crosswording world. Come on you Rookies, get setting. What else will I have to do whilst I am having my breakfast on a Monday?
Oh, such a shame! We really look forward to the Rookie puzzles and NTSPP puzzles. Like with Rabbit Dave it was quite a shock. Fingers crossed for more very soon.
I’ve been away for a bit and unable to crossword but have a handful ready to submit which I will as soon as I can 😁👍
Admin – not sure if it can be prepped for upload in such a short time but will get a 99%-ready submission to you within the hour, if you’d like to keep the legacy of continually publishing an RC every Monday.
Nice offer, AgentB, albeit too late for my breakfast  . Mr K lives in America so is probably fast asleep at the moment.
Wake him up man, wake him up :yahoo:
That’s a generous offer AgentB. Well done you! It would be great if it is possible…
How sad for the Corner to be empty of submissions, particularly when one thinks of the number of successful national setters who
began their careers by honing their skills under the patient mentoring that is to found there.
Well said Jane. I fully agree.
This has ruined my Monday as I have a strict regime of how I tackle the puzzles – first it is the Monday DT puzzle from 2006 (I’m playing catch up since retiring) then the DT cryptic then the FT then the Grauniad and finally the Quiptic. What a kerfuffle!
What about the Indy ?
Is there a way that the indy puzzles can be printed? I’m of the paper & pen solver community. Preferably with something amber coloured in a pint glass.

Thanks CS you are a star. I’ll add the indy to my daily quota of puzzles although I’d better not let Mrs S know – she thinks I’m already obsessive about cryptic crosswords without adding another source.
Today’s Indy is by Prolixic’s alter ego Kairos
That’s worth a punt – thanks.
