Site Problems – 24th October 2016

I hope all of the problems are now resolved – if you find anything that is not working, please leave a comment here.

 

I have been having problems with the site for several hours.  Part of the problem seems to be connected with the theme I am using.  I have temporarily replaced the theme so there may be some features that no longer work properly.  Please be patient.

    I’m probably in the minority here – but there are aspects of this current version of the site that I think are really good. Thought I’d just mention that.

  3. Hi Dave, I work in t’internetland, and I’m pretty sure it’s a server issue, not yours as such.

    I will, though, take the opportunity to thank you for all the joy you bring to so many, well done. Thanks again, Roy.

    1. There were two problems. On the main site a now-deleted plugin, that I installed several months ago as a possible replacement for one that I am using, became corrupted and on CrypticCrosswords.net a rogue space appeared at the start of a php file. The plugin was, among other things, stopping the somewhat necessary stylesheet from being applied to my Sandbox theme and the php file was preventing login to the other site.

      1. I can just picture the faces of some of our regulars on reading that explanation!

        However, the word there which will bring joy to all our hearts is “were” … here’s hoping that we’ve seen the last of the gremlins.

      Echo RDs thanks……the other font was good though for my tired eyes.
