I found this easy to solve but tricky to review. 4d for instance. I now have a couple of hours sitting on the lawn tractor in the sunshine scarifying the camping field and collecting the thatch. Then it is off to the most beautiful farm buildings and gardens in Warwickshire with Saint Sharon. Happy days. I suppose there will be an error or two in this review. Please let me know otherwise I will begin to think that I am perfect again.

A competent but far-from-difficult puzzle from the setter formerly known as eXternal. I’m not sure why this was picked for the traditionally difficult Friday Toughie – in my opinion it would have sat quite nicely in the Tuesday slot.

Good morning from Killala in County Mayo, where we are staying for a few days. My host suggests this post should be called ‘the blog from the bog’.
One or two less common terms from Giovanni today, which took me up to the top end of ** for difficulty.

Were they to actually read this review, I feel sure that a couple of the usual suspects would disagree with my view that this was typically straightforward offering from the Saturday Mysteron.

Elkamere must be mellowing with age because his puzzles these days seem nowhere near as difficult as some of his early puzzles were. I don’t mind that because this was a very enjoyable puzzle. The clue for 5 down is provided by 8 other answers. I guessed the answer to 5 down from some of the checking letters and this enabled me to work out the two other answers used in the clue that I hadn’t yet got.
