A slow start but once I’d got started the answers went in very quickly until I was left with the final few. The double unchecked letters were a factor in the final slow-down.

Hola from the Vega Baja where the heatwave is over and the weather has finally turned autumnal. I was going to give this puzzle only 3* for enjoyment but it grew on me while writing the review.

I do like Sunday mornings – a little lie-in and then the best crossword of the week to solve, and then (because I am a girl and we always get our homework done early!) to enjoy all over again in the afternoon if it is my turn to draft the review. A lovely mix of clues – all the Virgilius trade mark clues were there – and my favourite has to be 24d.
