There is a festive theme to today’s puzzle. It’s not too difficult, so why not have a go?

I wasn’t sure whether it was worth the effort of producing a blog this morning (seeing as how the world is scheduled to end later today!) but I’m very glad that I went ahead because I reckon that this is one of the best back-pagers we’ve had all year with some cracking festive clues. Thanks to Giovanni for the treat and I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did. Do let us know what you thought.

This Cephas Saturday Prize Puzzle would have merited just under 2* difficulty but has been given 3* because of the problems with 23a caused by having the wrong word in 21d

A good afternoon to one and all. I hope that the weather’s better where you are than it is here. It’s definitely a day for hibernating. I often struggle with Shamus puzzles and I did so again today with quite a bit of thought being needed to unravel some of the longer complex clues. There’s only one anagram to be seen and so it isn’t a puzzle for the anagram lovers.

Hola from the Vega Baja. I may be wrong but I reckon this is a RayT production, I think I’m beginning to spot his style. I found it not too difficult but very enjoyable. Not many anagrams, which is why I liked it, so I guess lots of you will disagree with my ratings!

This is a very enjoyable puzzle from Elkamere but not, for me anyway, any less difficult than his last Toughie which appeared in the feared Friday slot. If we get this on Wednesday what’s in store for the rest of the week?
Do leave a comment telling us what you liked or disliked and how you got on.

Scchua is away again today, but should be back next week. He has missed another excellent puzzle from our Wednesday Wizard.

Busman’s recent puzzles have been a significant improvement on his earlier ones, and this is no exception. Perhaps a notch up from a standard back-page puzzle, but not too difficult.

Good morning from South Staffordshire, where it’s bright and dry at the moment. A reasonably straightforward offering today, with the bonus that it’s a pangram.
In the hints below, the definitions are underlined.
