Morning All! Late again!. Another fine puzzle from Virgilius this week – not too taxing but the usual misleading surface readings.

A medium level toughie from Giovanni today, with a couple of nice surface readings, and at least one clue where explaining the wordplay took longer than the solving process.

Started off quite smoothly but then slowed down very fast with 4 answers to go. Almost had to get help for the last of the last, but the answer suddenly occurred to me, and later on, the explanation. Therefore at least a 3* for difficulty and another 3 for enjoyment. Thanks to setter, and if it is Jay, it’s slightly more difficult than his usual.

Good morning from a grey South Staffs, where it’s considerably warmer than it was last week.
There’s a mini-theme of the Wild West in the top half of today’s puzzle, plus one or two items which have featured in the last few Tuesday crosswords.

Those of you who like anagrams are in for a treat, about a third of this crossword consists of anagrams of one type or another. Otherwise a nice gentle straightforward solve to start the week.
