A very good Sunday morning from Winnipeg – the last week of Summer has begun, not long before this little lady, and others, fly South for the Winter!

For me, and I stress for me, as he was last Sunday, Dada reasonably friendly – two long ‘uns, two shorter long ‘uns, five anagrams (four partials), two lurkers, and no homophones all in an asymmetric 28 clues; with 15 hints, ‘sprinkled’ throughout the grid, you should be able to get the checkers to enable the solving of the unhinted clues. … Continue reading

Our setter continues his practice of providing a ‘nearly pangram’ (there’s no K as far as I can see). He’s also given us an anagram-less puzzle – I particularly admire his ability to clue the four peripheral names without the need to resort to anagrams. I enjoyed this a lot – thanks to Osmosis.

The first few answers went in very quickly and I thought this was going to be pretty straightforward. It did get a wee bit trickier towards the bottom but I don’t think this will cause regular Toughie solvers too many problems.
