Cleo is helping me with today’s typical Osmosis puzzle. A few bits of tricky wordplay, but enjoyable nonetheless.

I found this Toughie to be slow-going at first, but once the answers fell into place things speeded up. For several of the clues it was a case of “guessing” the answers and then fitting them to the wordplay.

A Caped Crusader writes:-
All had been quiet in Gotham City for the last nine months, suddenly an urgent call came from Commissioner Dave. Bleeding Gums Tilsit was unable to review today’s Toughie. Alfred rushed down to the Batcave and readied the Batmobile, and the Boy Wonder and I arrived just in time to rescue the day.

This isn’t a terribly difficult Toughie with the four long clues round the periphery giving me a good start, but I did find it enjoyable.

You know what you are going to get with an Osmosis puzzle. Very few high points but no groan-inducing clues.

Today we have a fairly straightforward puzzle (although I appreciate that some references may have non-UK residents scratching their heads). As usual with Osmosis there are lots of clues where we have to add or subtract individual letters.
