We have a challenging and very entertaining puzzle today from Ray T with some very amusing clues. It’s well worth persevering with, but, if you want something a bit easier Prolixic informs me that today’s Toughie is not as difficult. Let us know what you think of this one, and how you think it compares with the Toughie.
If you want to see the answers, they’re hidden between the curly brackets under the relevant clues. Highlight the space between the brackets to reveal.

This is not the most difficult of Ray T’s puzzles, but really entertaining with a number of “aha” moments. Tell us what you thought in a comment and please remember to show how much you enjoyed it by clicking on one of the stars below.

Shamus has given us a good workout today with a slightly more difficult puzzle than his usual fare. Of course, that’s just my opinion, and whether you agree or disagree we’d love to hear your views.
As always the answers are present, but hidden, inside the curly brackets under each clue. Just drag your cursor through the white space between the brackets to reveal.

We have a very entertaining puzzle from Ray T today with some highly amusing clues, but without his normal ration of two hidden words. What did you think of it? Tell us in a comment, and please don’t forget to grade it by clicking on one of the five stars below.
As always the answers, for those who want to see them, are hidden between the brackets under the clues. Just highlight the spaces between the brackets to reveal one.

We have a pleasurable 5d from Shamus today with only two anagrams (that’s a plus point for me and earns it an extra enjoyment star!). I can’t remember a Telegraph puzzle with fewer than this. As always we’re very keen to hear your views, so please keep the comments coming.
If you can’t get an answer even with the hint, drag your cursor through the space between the curly brackets under the clue and it should reveal itself.

It’s Ray T’s turn this week, and as usual he’s provided an entertaining puzzle with some very good clues. I know that some people find Ray’s puzzles harder than other puzzles during the week, but all I can say is keep persevering and if you can’t get the answer and have to look between the brackets make sure that you then understand the wordplay!
Your comments, as always, are very welcome.
For new readers, the answers are present in the review but concealed between the curly brackets under each clue – if you want to reveal one, highlight the space between the brackets.

We have a very gentle puzzle from Shamus today to get us back into the groove after the bank holiday. Members of the CC should have no excuses for not completing this one, but as we’ve said often in the past, being relatively easy does not mean that it cannot be entertaining, and this one has some very enjoyable clues.
Let us know your opinion in a comment, and please take the time to indicate how much you enjoyed the puzzle by clicking on one of the stars below.
New readers may not be aware that the answer to each clue is concealed between the curly brackets under the clue – just highlight the space between the brackets to reveal it.

We have another very entertaining Ray T puzzle today. Apart from the very strange coincidence of 20a (which is obviously not down to the setter, and which I’m sure we’ll hear more of) there are a number of really entertaining clues. For those who can never get started on Ray’s puzzles (Good morning, Barrie) could I suggest that some easier clues to get into the puzzle are 10a, 15a, 24a and 4d.
As always we’re very keen to get your thoughts and opinions, so please keep the comments coming.
The answer to each clue is concealed between the curly brackets beneath it – just drag your cursor through the white space between the brackets if you want to reveal the solution.

A real mixture of clues from Shamus today – some I liked a lot, but others, including the cryptic definitions, didn’t really cut the mustard for me. I dithered between two and three stars for difficulty – it seemed marginally more difficult than yesterday’s. So, please tell me what you think (but I won’t be “doing a Libellule” and changing the grading in mid-afternoon!).
As always, the answers are concealed to prevent your seeing them accidentally – just highlight the space between the brackets under a clue to reveal the solution.
