A very enjoyable crossword today, I romped happily through most of it and then died a horrible death in the NE corner. For some reason the answers to 9a and 8d eluded me for ages. So they get my vote for the two best clues.

I thought this was a but harder than is normal, and I completed it in fits and starts. 11a is without doubt an old chestnut, but I am sure it will be appreciated by those who have not seen it before. Still – mustn’t grumble, its an enjoyable crossword.
If you need to see the answer, highlight the space between the curly brackets.

Another non too taxing, yet otherwise pleasant excursion from the Monday Maestro with a number of French references to make me happy.
If you cannot derive the answer from the hint, just highlight the space between the curly brackets.

Standard Monday morning stuff from the maestro, and I expect no major problems amongst the massed ranks of solvers out there. Please feel free to leave a comment.
If you do need to reveal the answer, just highlight the space found between the curly brackets on the left of the page.

Slightly trickier than normal? It seemed so, as I got stuck on a couple of clues for longer than I should have done. Still a fun crossword though. Favourite clues 13a (it reminds me of a sketch from the Fast Show) and 26a,
If you need to reveal the answer, just highlight the space between the curly brackets.

Welcome to the first Monday of 2011. Rufus has returned, and we have an enjoyable, but not overly taxing solve today. Some of you may need some help for some of the cryptic definitions – but I doubt it.
If my cryptic hints are not good enough to let you work out the answer, just highlight the space between the curly brackets.

Rufus is on holiday today, so we have a crossword from a mystery setter. Although I found this more difficult than I would normally expect for a Monday, my enjoyment of it was marred somewhat by what I felt were a few clumsy and forced clues, 17d and 24d for example.
If you cannot work out the answer from the hints, please highlight the space between the curly brackets.

Usual Rufus, always enjoyable, although I thought this was bit more complicated than normal, but thats probably down to the bad cold I have at the moment. I wasn’t too thrilled about 8d and 13d, but I did like 9a and 15d. Since this will be my last blog before Christmas, can I wish you all (and Rufus) a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
If you are struggling to get the answer from the hints, just highlight the space between the curly brackets.

The usual offering from Rufus to cheer up our Monday morning cups of breakfast tea. Favourites for me 19a and 31a, whilst 26a gets a could do better.
The answer can be found by highlighting the space between the curly brackets.
