I found this a particularly straightforward offering from the Saturday Mysteron, so was a little surprised to find when I visited the blog, that others had found the top half of the crossword significantly harder than the bottom.

I filled the grid in without much difficulty but there were four answers whose wordplay had eluded me. I have since sorted these out with varying degrees of success (from total success to total failure)

Good morning everyone. It’s another lovely sunny morning on the Vega Baja and apparently it’s the same in Oxford.
This isn’t one of RayT’s more difficult puzzles but it’s an enjoyable one all the same. It’s fortunate that mehitabel was on the downs today because she’s always said she has trouble spotting hidden word clues and there are no less than four of them in the acrosses!

Morning All!. I thought that this was a quite difficult solve although everything is perfectly solvable (and enjoyable when completed). I think my main problem was that the head scratchers coincided and did not yield so many checking letters.

I was slow getting a foothold in this one and after that my progress was steady rather than swift – in other words I thought it was a proper Toughie. Thanks to Sparks for the enjoyable challenge.

I found this a fairly straightforward solve, although it took me a while to tease out the logic of some of the clues having got the answers. Big Dave seems to have had the same experience with Kcit puzzles and I would be interested to know whether solvers felt the same.

The sun is out here in Downtown L I. That means a mowing day for me, with cider. I found this to be an easy solve today with just a couple of testers at the end.
