Tilsit is unwell, so I’m reviewing the whole of this Osmosis puzzle instead of just the downs!

Although less difficult than we have come to expect on a Friday, this is still an excellent puzzle. Osmosis is one of only four current Toughie setters who have never come along to say hello, so why not start today?

Afternoon All!. The clock stopped rather quickly on this puzzle for me but I immediately went back to absorb some of the near perfect surface readings that make it difficult for the inexperienced solver to break. A puzzle that was straightforward but a delight to solve.

Hola from the Vega Baja. No, it’s not Wednesday! Gazza thought I might be suffering withdrawal symptoms after I missed Wednesday because of the rain so kindly offered to let me tackle this one instead – many thanks Gazza. It’s the second Giovanni I’ve blogged and both times I’ve found it an interesting experience to get to grips with a different style from my normal Jay puzzle.

I thought this was piitched about right for a Friday with a couple of gimmes and a few anagrams, to give you a start, and a few that require a bit of thought. I really enjoyed it but it will be interesting to see if others agree.

Every other Saturday we get a slightly trickier challenge from the Saturday Mysteron and this week’s puzzle was no exception.    When I had finished, I wasn’t sure I had found it as much fun as usual but doing the review it has certainly grown on me, not least because of my two favourite clues, highlighted in blue.
