This year the Times Crossword Championship is being held at the Times offices in Wapping.
John “Elgar” Henderson has organised a venue for refreshments during the intervals between rounds and afterwards.

The Times Crossword Championships 2011The Times Crossword Championship 2011 will take place in Wapping on October 22. Since there were no objections to my earlier posting, The Town of Ramsgate is the designated pub for the day in between the rounds and probably afterwards. 10 mins walk, but one way or the other, competitors will make it 5 mins. Details below, and at www.beatmark.co.uk. (That last bit was a joke, but I’ll be trying my best…) Hope to see you all at whichever establishment. PS I don’t think there will be many takers, but if there are guys and gals out there who want to meet on the Friday, let me know on this thread and I’ll organise something. For the uninitiated, Mark Goodliffe has won 4 times, including the last three in a row, each by quite a large margin.
