The Blog will celebrate its sixteenth birthday next January 28th, 2025. With help from the Guardians of the Blog (Cryptic Sue, MrK, Gazza, and Prolixic) and John and Jane “Elgar,” I am reviving the Big Dave Birthday Bash and want to bring it to the attention of as many of you as possible.

The 15th annual “Sloggers and Betters” gathering for crossword setters and blog contributors and readers will take place in London, following on, as in previous years, from the annual lunch for Times setters.  Start by looking in the Parliament bar (first door on the right) or just outside (depending on the weather) – fellow cruciverbalists are not hard to find.
