I actually found this puzzle by Shamus (a pangram, as is now standard for him) to be a fair bit easier than yesterday’s Rufus (which I didn’t find easy at all), but that’s probably just me – let us know your experience!
If you want to see an answer just drag your cursor through the space between the curly brackets under the clue.

Tender Memories by Radler

A warm welcome back to Radler with a very enjoyable puzzle based on the theme of the decimalisation of the United Kingdom’s currency 40 years ago on 15 February 1971. Many of the answers to the clues in this crossword are terms for pre-1971 currency – some very pre!

I think that Big Dave gave you a big helping hand referring to the anniversary. I test-solved this crossword without the knowledge of the theme and it took quite a while for the penny (d not p) to drop!

Do let us know what you think about the crossword below. As has been said many times, good feedback (positive and constructive) is very helpful for the setters of the NTSPP. Don’t be backward in coming forward!

This week’s Friday challenge is by the superb setter Notabilis and today’s puzzle did not disappoint. Lots of fine clues and a little gimmick with the central answers forming well-known phrases, although not jointly clued.

This was the perfect cryptic for a busy Sunday – didn’t take too long to solve but the wordplay was very enjoyable. There was a little muttering about a ‘chestnut’ but I prefer to think of such clues as old friends and I am not sure there actually were any this time. Thanks to Virgilius once again for another Sunday morning treat.

Morning All!. It’s my turn to review the mystery setter this week under the new rotation regime for myself and Crypticsue and I must admit to rather enjoying this one without finding it too hard. I’m giving it two stars based on my solving time but a few of the clues may push it to a three star for some.
