Thanks to Radler for a very entertaining puzzle. Having read the preamble about some answers not being in Chambers I was prepared for a tough struggle, but actually I think that this is one of Radler’s easier ones. The emerging theme certainly helped me get the last couple of answers. Favourite clues: 10a, 21a and 24d.

It too me a long time to get three quarters of this solved, the NW corner proving almost impenetrable until I went back on line for a couple of strategically sited checking letters. I did try to ignore the fact that it was a Radler to see if that helped but I did struggle in places. The non-dictionary words went in quite early on! I think once again it’s a case of the more difficult clues making me so befuddled that I miss the more obvious easy ones! Thanks Radler, I promise to try even harder next time.
