Zandio returns from his brief hiatus with a fine Sunday Toughie. a good mix of anagrams, reverse anagrams, lurkers and &lits and I have hinted at half of  an even 14a and 14d clues

I still haven’t heard who or what we are getting in Sunday Toughie 100 on Christmas Eve, I have used up two of my Christmassy songs today I will have to find some more for then, in the meantime here is one of my favourite dogs from the interwebs on a steady winter walk near Lochnagar

For those still having problems with various apps or websites, I have included a PDF of today’s puzzle HERE
I don’t think we will be doing this for long as the workaround explained yesterday seems to be working. Though the list of Sunday Toughie compilers hasn’t been updated yet I took a punt on it being Zandio today and I was delighted to have that confirmed when the newer puzzles app updated

Thanks to Gazza and StephenL for looking after the hints whilst I overindulged on beer and cheese, I am at my Christmas weight already and we are only in the middle of November!

14a and 14d clues today and I have hinted half plus a bonus pic When in doubt look for a lurker or anagrams but If you get stuck I will be around with a nudge if necessary

Sunday Toughie No 89

Zandio didn’t keep me up too long last night, I hope he isn’t affronted that I may have missed something in 5d and 10a The question mark in 5d would suggest some slight and is 10a an &lit/all-in-one or a split double definition? I hope I have captured the gist

We have 14a and 16d clues today and I have hinted half

As it is a dry day here in deepest Yorkshire I will be trimming the Yew tree, but will keep an ear out for any extra nudges if required

Zandio gave me a 10a on Sunday Toughie solving last night, I had to go to the land of nod before all the parsings came to me but a good seven hours kip has thrown light on the trickier parts – pipe up if you disagree with my hints and ask away if you want an extra nudge on the unhinted clues

Sunday Toughie No 83

A pleasant Sunday Toughie that went smoothly until I got to the SW corner. I am going to have to be brief as I am going to the Malton Food Festival with Mama Bee this afternoon. I may be missing something in 3d and would welcome any input on parsing. (see todays PDM in the hint)

I think this is an ideal crossword to introduce the Toughie to newbies and I hope you enjoy it.
