proXimal today has given us 14a and 16d clues today and I have hinted half. As usual, some quite tricky clues have hit the cutting room floor so some discussion will be tolerated, in particular, I haven’t hinted 5d as I am not 100% on the parsing. I think we have almost all of ran a needle reversed (over) but your opinions may clarify my thinking.
I hope you find the checkers to finish this fine toughie but will provide a bonus nudge or two if required

Zandio has given us a Floughie (ish) Toughie today that seems comparable to his recent backpagers. A nice even 14a and 14d clues of which I have hinted half. A couple of bonus pics may help with some of the gaps but remember to look out for anagrams and lurkers. The football team nearly defeated me but it is not a specific team but rather the number of players you seek.

I am feeling a bit delicate today with a vicious headache and body aches that I hope is just a cold.
I have hinted half of an even 14a and 14d clues, and hope you find enough checkers to fill the grid
I made hard going with this and 15a didn’t get a hint as I am not sure I fully understand it unless Bill is Shakespeare and we have much ado about nothing
I am returning to bed to try and shake this lurgy as this time next week I will be in Dublin for the Bruce Springsteen concert, I believe Gazza will be on hinting duties

A lot of London and numerous routes today, most of which are on the route of today’s London Marathon. I wonder if proXimal is taking part or attending some musical theatre at 2d
Some great penny drops today most of which involve water in some form, meres, pools and plumbing revealed themselves with a clang
An evenly balanced 14a 14d clues today and I couldn’t help but hint (just) over half of them. I hope you find the checkers to solve the rest as I have had to leave some clues that I found quite difficult unhinted
