Hola from the Vega Baja where I’ve had to dig out some long trousers for the first time this autumn. It’s a bit chilly at blogging time which is a tad earlier than I usually get up. At least I haven’t had to go as far as socks!
Today we have the normal Monday fare. As usual there are three or four tricky ones but there are also enough gimmes and anagrams to get you the checkers you need. I don’t think many of you will have much trouble. Continue reading “DT 29809”

Hola from the Vega Baja where we seem to be having a pretty mild autumn which is very pleasant.
Not much to say about the crossword except it’s just what I’ve come to look forward to on a Monday. Not too difficult but elegantly clued with two or three tricky bits to keep one on one’s toes. Hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did.

Hola from the Vega Baja where summer is slowly drawing to a close. We’re forecast rain for tomorrow and temperatures not reaching 30°C but then normal service is due to return for a few days.
Today we have the usual Monday elegance but perhaps a little on the easier side of the spectrum of difficulty. Well, I thought it so but no doubt many of you will disagree.

Hola from the Vega Baja where the intense heat has finally abated. Very pleasant weather with plenty of sunshine but not the crazy temperatures of the last couple of months.
The crossword is another example of the usual Monday fare but I thought a tad trickier that normal. There’s three or four clues which are quite obscure but there’s enough gimmes to give you the checkers you need.

Hola from a sunny Los Alacázares where we’ve been trying to evade the crazy heat of this August. Still, it got up to 38°C last Sunday so it’s not been much of a relief. However, we did get to see “La Vuelta a España” flash by last Saturday as they came through LA on stage 8. It doesn’t last very long but with all the cars, motor bikes and two helicopters for the TV coverage not to mention the riders themselves it’s a great spectacle, and the speed of the guys is impressive.
The crossword today is the usual Monday fare but perhaps leaning towards more cryptic definitions the usual. There’s a few anagrams and a couple of gimmes so I don’t think many of you will have to resort to these hints. Anyway they’re here if you do need some help.

Hola from the Vega Baja where summer has arrived big time. We’re getting temperatures around 30°C every day now and the forecast is for it to be hotter by weekend.
Maybe it’s just me having an off day but I found this puzzle a bit trickier than recent Mondays have been. I only got six of the acrosses and eight of the downs on first pass which is lower than average for me on a Monday. However there are enough gimmes and a couple of anagrams to give you a good start so I don’t think it will cause too much trouble. For me a tad of extra trickiness adds to the overall enjoyment of the tussle.

Hola from the Vega Baja on a slightly chilly morning. It’s sure to warm up later as spring has definitely sprung here.
Not much to say about the crossword which hasn’t already been said on a Monday. It’s the usual fare, not too difficult but enjoyable. Today’s offering seems a bit light on anagrams so I know some of you will be disappointed but there’s a lot of good stuff to enjoy.
