A pleasant Monday morning solve from the maestro. 12a was the last one in, and took nearly as long to fathom as the rest of the crossword. Why? I have no idea.

First of all, many thanks for the birthday wishes that were posted yesterday. Secondly this seemed to be a very straight forward crossword this morning, probably due to the large number of anagrams. So I don’t expect many people will need to use the hints.

The sun is shining south of the Loire, and it looks like spring has finally arrived. In terms of the crossword, we have the usual fun and entertainment from the Monday Maestro.

I was going to give this two stars for difficulty, but I got a bit stuck in the top right corner, so I think I will go with three. Another very entertaining crossword from the Maestro, 10a made me smile when I worked it out.

I thought this was a bit harder today, with a few of the clues causing some head scratching moments. Some lovely clues though, as one would expect from the Maestro. 17d being a case in point.

Bright and sunny south of the Loire this morning, but its still a bit cold. A typical Monday morning crossword from the maestro (on a par with last weeks difficulty wise – I think), offering the usual high quality of clues with added entertainment.

This seemed to be a little trickier than normal, hence the three stars for difficulty. But even so, this is an entertaining crossword from the Monday maestro that helped brighten up a damp and snowy morning south of the Loire.
