Apologies for the somewhat late arrival of the blog. As you are probably aware there are problems with the Telegraph Puzzles site. However crypticsue came to the rescue after a visit to the newsagents and the use of a scanner. The crossword on the other hand is exactly what we expect from Rufus on a Monday.

This is not one of Rufus’ best crosswords…
I also see that the Telegraph puzzles site continues to be a problem. If you are having trouble accessing it try a little later, and keep trying – eventually you should be able to log on.

About on a par with last Monday’s I think, a bit more difficult than usual. I am sure 11a is the most complicated clue I have seen from Rufus for some time, and we also have the return of a couple of old chestnuts.
On another note the Telegraph puzzles site seems to be suffering at the moment. It seems slow to respond, and then when I tried to submit today’s puzzle it took fifteen minutes and a large number of Error 0’s.

Standard Monday fare from Rufus, although I think this one is a bit tougher than normal, 23d is my favourite clue and definite “doh” moment.
