A slightly friendlier proXimal Toughie than some, presumably why we find him in the Thursday Toughie spot, which suited me because I quite often struggle with his more difficult Toughies.… Continue reading

Hello everyone. A Ray T Thursday. I found it pretty difficult but a couple of silly mistakes early on, the scarcity of anagrams and the very hot weather probably contributed to that feeling so I’ll wait to see what everyone else made of it – could be that I’ve got it totally wrong.… Continue reading

This was a thoroughly enjoyable puzzle with a number of chuckle-inducing clues (including one at 10a which I would have expected to find in Private Eye but probably not in the straitlaced Telegraph).

Hello, everyone, and welcome to Tuesday.  Unusual puzzle today with the double definitions outnumbering the anagrams.  Still, they say that a change is as good as a rest (or is it a holiday?), so I'm not complaining.  Continue reading "DT 29397"

Hola from the Vega Baja where summer has finally arrived, the state of alarm is over and the nights are now drawing in. Just to make you all jealous here’s a link to the Vega Baja weather forecast for the next week:-

I hope you all enjoyed the tussle as much as I did. Continue reading “DT 29396”
