Lots of films, birds, dogs and a little bit of Welsh – Suo Gân from Light today

I enjoyed this and would have liked to hint more, but as it is a prize puzzle, I have tried to restrain myself.

I hope you find the checkers to finish, but I will try to give a nudge if shopping and coffee permit

Don’t forget you are all invited to the Old Joint Stock next Saturday

Here we go, Folks…

A very good Sunday morning from Winnipeg where it is now wildfire season to the North and we are beginning to experience poor air quality from drifting smoke which, much to their chagrin, we are ‘sharing’ with our neighbours to the South!.

For me, and I stress for me,© Dada again quirkily friendly with perhaps some lateral thinking required and one very stretched synonym – four long ‘uns, seven anagrams (three partials), one reversed lurker, and one homophone, all in a symmetric 28 clues; with 14 hints ‘sprinkled’ throughout the grid you should/might be able to get some of the checkers to enable the solving of the unhinted clues. I hope you have your Crimson Tomes at hand!

A  cracking puzzle from Zandio, I solved this with less stress than watching the England game last night, although 3d and 13a took a bit of pondering.

My stress levels have soared as the installation of new broadband is not going smoothly…

I hope you find the checkers to finish, and I will try to give a nudge if required.

A very good Sunday morning from Winnipeg where, like most of the UK (or is it only England?), we are extremely hot and humid but only for three days with the ‘feels like’ somewhere in the high-40s/low 50s. Then, on Tuesday, we are forecast to return to pleasantly warm and humid with the ‘feels like’ in the low 30s.

Then yesterday, there was the ‘oddity’ of watching the England oval ballers playing an ‘away’ game (yes, I do know why) in Everton FC’s magnificent new stadium.  But, I suppose ‘going North’ to play in Liverpool counts as an away game for the 15-a-side national team!

For me, and I stress for me,© Dada quirkily friendly with perhaps some lateral thinking required with one long ‘un, six anagrams (one partial), one lurker, and no homophones, all in a very asymmetric 31 clues; with 15 hints ‘sprinkled’ throughout the grid you should/might be able to get some of the checkers to enable the solving of the unhinted clues. I hope you have your Crimson Tomes at hand!
