  1. I too took a while to get going on this one. Didn’t really gain a foothold anywhere, but made progress randomly on second and third passes.
The solutions to 11a and 23a are words encountered fairly infrequently (by me), though I was able to conjour them up from the clues and I liked the answer to 8d as a synonym of it’s definition.
Those three with 13a 26a and 22d were my picks from an enjoyable and engaging workout.
    Thanks to Kcit and CS.

  2. I thought this was a bit less devious than kcit can be, but an enjoyable puzzle. Favourites were 23a [needed some checkers before the penny dropped] 1d [nice definition] and 6d.
    Thanks to kcit and CS.

  3. It took time to get into this, but once on the wavelength things started to happen. On finishing I found lots to like.
My picks were 14 and 17A and 5D with 26A taking the podium.
    Thanks to CS and Kcit.

  4. A pleasant and not too tricky puzzle – thanks to Kcit and CS.
The top clues for me were 23a, 1d and 5d.

  5. Much easier than Stephen’s one yesterday & very enjoyable too. Podium spots for 14a + 1&5d.
    Thanks to Kcit & Sue
