I struggled with this one and it took me far longer than usual. Perhaps I wasn’t on form today! I wasn’t familiar with a couple of words used in the wordplay but otherwise I had no problems understanding the clues.

When I had finished this crossword, taking twice as long as usual to do so(but still relatively quickly), I wasn’t sure whether I had really enjoyed the process or not. It turned out that I wasn’t the only one – comments ranged from ‘lacklustre’, ‘no pleasure’, and ‘boring’ to it being a ‘typical Saturday puzzle’. A bit more difficult than normal? Or was it just me who had to look up and check 2d? Regardless, its still the usual entertaining stuff from Rufus.

If you want to reveal the answer just highlight the space between the curly brackets.
