  1. Apologies to any early solvers, but an out-of-date file was used. A newer version, which contains improved versions of several clues, is now available. For example, 28d now reads “Adult touching up young lady gets sacked?”.

  2. Encountered all manner of problems in the NE corner and would be ashamed to admit how many times I had to run through the alphabet in my head!

Think I’ve got you, Mr Radler, but time will tell. Thank you for yet another challenge and a very happy New Year to you.

  3. I had completed all but four of the old version with much head scratching and some guesswork, so I have submitted a guess based on the fact there is no word that fits the instructions.

Not a gripe, but I’m out and besides, guess what I got for Christmas, as usual

  4. I found that very tricky indeed but perseverance over several sessions eventually yielded a result.
    Thanks (I think) Radler.

    1. Me too Kiwi Colin! Thank you Radler, very clever indeed. Thanks to BD too for the excellent site.

  5. Probably the hardest puzzle we’ve done for a long time – thank you Radler, it was much enjoyed.
