I have just noticed that the clues for the “Win Prizes” GK crossword – GK No. 23 – are all cryptic clues.
In fact, the puzzle is just today’s Cryptic – No. 25,889.
From the Play Puzzles Front Page I clicked on Play for Quick 25,991. I got the Cryptic grid and clues, but the Quick time allowance. I exited and searched for the Quick 25,991 again. I clicked resume and was presented with the Quick grid and clues and my time so far. How weird is that?
Exactly the same thing has happened to me on at least two occasions. I now always check the puzzle that comes up is the one I want before I click on play.
