Zandio brings us a fine toughie that amused and confused in equal measure.
I have hinted half of 16a and 14d clues with a few bonus pics to help.
I am off to Whitby for a paddle with Mama Bee, Have fun and I’ll catch up with comments later

Robyn brings us a puzzle at just the right level for a Sunday Toughie, a little bit of Shakespeare, Dickens and politics and an interesting appearance for the #Octothorp and ChatGPT adds an up-to-date feel. I rather enjoyed this but may be distracted by ongoing tiling works in the bathroom this afternoon, but I will check back occasionally if you need a nudge or two.
I would like to applaud Robyn for the surface reading of 7d – an extremely adroit bit of setting indeed, only unhinted because it is a relatively easy compound anagram.
Today we have 14a and 16d clues and I have hinted half

proXimal has provided us with a proper Toughie today. I had a bit of trouble getting going in the NW corner but the bottom half gave me a foothold and I worked up from there. He always gives me a bit more of a stretch than our other Sunday Toughie setters but I got there eventually, It was quite late when I had the final swig of the Port and Wine cask finished Laphroaig last night.
An unusual 15a and 16d clues today and I have hinted just under half, pipe up if you need an extra nudge or two.
15d is a candidate for Terence’s THE LIST if ever I saw one but as it is a straightforward anagram it remains unhinted

A not too toughie today, if you liked Zandio’s offering on Friday I commend this puzzle to the house.
I have hinted half of 14a and 14d clues but as ever some tricky ones remain unhinted and only partially parsed. To be a bit petty, I think I need a trichologist to attend to my frizzy locks caused by 8d today (Correction I have just seen the Cockney rhyming slang required) not obvious to this northerner.
A drink or two for the boozers and a snack for the 20d, I hope you find enough checkers to fill in the 11a’s lights

I started well last night but got a bit bogged down in the end, the very clever 11d lightened my mood. I have hinted half of an uneven 16a 14d clues but as usual some still tricky clues have hit the cutting room floor.
With 20d I may be missing something that no amount of Laphroaig (here finished in strong white 19d casks) last night or coffee this morning can entirely explain, I have the little Spanish girl and the Spanish word for is, but I cannot see the indicator that allows me to reverse her?
Thanks to Robyn for a fairly floughie toughie, with all the clues linked to 11d is that a theme?
And finally a get well soon to Robert, The blog and I have missed your erudite comments
