A most enjoyable puzzle from Radler with his usual devious clueing – many thanks to him.
Made it to base camp last night and summited this morning! Echoing Gazza’s sentiment – a most enjoyable puzzle packed with devious devices. Seven clues are on my extended podium with a stand out winner which I shall comment on following the review. A couple of partial parsing loose ends remain, but I have a couple of weeks to (hopefully) figure them out. Great fun from Radler and my answer to the riddle will be submitted shortly…
My goodness, this is a real Toughie. I’ve made almost no headway after several sessions, but I’m going to persevere …

How do I submit an entry without disclosing my email address? Previously, it was just a matter of using my alias.
I seem to remember we had to give our email address before when submitting an entry. If you are the winner, Tilsit (who will be the only one to see it) will need it to let you know you are the winner
But, how will Tilsit know my alias from my email address?

Got there eventually after a long struggle but I am still unable to parse two of my answers completely. In addition one answer is an American word, which elicited a hmm. Another answer has all the necessary elements in the wordplay but the instructions for combining them don’t seem quite to work so I expect I am missing something obvious.
The puzzle itself was very clever and fiendish in the extreme. Fortunately, the riddle and the answer to the riddle didn’t hold me up at all.
Well done and thank you, Radler, but please not quite so tough next time.

Some clues vehemently herald of a new ‘crossworld’ order, but definitely the puzzle, bedecked with novel varieties, that was thought of by me to be as surreptitiously acceptable, was, nevertheless, highly enjoyable and so my wholehearted thanks goes to Radler. As I was occupied with exams (eight papers over and two still left) and office and other works, I started this puzzle only yesterday and was able to finish it and submit my answer today.
