  1. It was a very uphill struggle to start with but once I had the moment of enlightenment by spotting the possible missing letters in one answer it all started to come together. Even from that point it was not a walk in the park but oh so clever. Really satisfying to eventually get everything sorted and counted.
    Thanks Radler.

  2. In an exam you should read all the questions first, and that was pretty much my approach to this puzzle. I found a few toeholds this morning and then, like KiwiColin, had a breakthrough with one particular answer (I wonder if it was the same one as KC?). Returning to the puzzle this evening with a glass of rosé in hand I managed to work out all the ‘occurrences’ but still had some empty spaces left in the grid. It took a second glass of wine before the last pesky pieces fell into place. After 2 large glasses of wine I think I’ll review and submit my answer tomorrow! An excellent puzzle from Radler, as you might expect, providing much enjoyment and, eventually, a real sense of achievement. Thank you!

  3. :phew: That was a challenge and a half! However the good news is that it is one for which persistence paid off in the end, but please remind me not to talk to Radler if I meet him when he is drunk!

It ticks all the boxes. Very clever – yes. Devious – yes. Great fun – yes. Rewarding – yes. And something else which made me smile.

I’ve got an answer but I’m going to sleep on it before submission.

Many thanks, Radler. I really enjoyed this.

  4. I just want to salute Radler and the three missing letters. Spectacular!

  5. Finished this one in the wee small hours but thought I should get some sleep and do a recount this morning to be on the safe side!
One new word for me and an adjective that rather surprised but I think I’m happy to submit my entry.

Thanks to the fiend for another excellent challenge!

  6. This must be the best attempt I have ever made at a Radley puzzle.
Took me ages and several sittings to finish, though one particular clue led me to the missing letters.
Needed several drinks before during and after this one.
    Thanks to Radler.

  7. Thanks Radler. Really enjoyable, it took quite a bit of head scratching but eventually all clues were parsed – I’m not going to give a count for the glasses of wine needed!
