Birthday Bash

OK, we won’t be 7 until 28th January! Tables are booked and the deposit has been paid, so now I can confirm what we already knew – our 7th Birthday Bash will be at the same venue as last year. Come along and join us at The Bridge House, 13 Westbourne Terrace Road, London, W2 6NG on the 30th January – any time between 12 noon and 7.00 pm.
All are welcome (that means you!) and, as usual, we have picked a pub that enables you to enjoy a host of real ales. Click on either of the pictures for further details of the venue.

Many thanks to Tilsit and crypticsue for helping out over the last two Saturdays when I was in London and then York.
As is usual for the weekend prize crosswords, an assortment of clues, including some of the more difficult ones, have been selected and hints provided for them.

It is a good job I quite enjoyed solving this crossword as I was called in as a last minute Saturday Hint Giver which means that I actually had to look at it three times – once to solve it, once to sort out some hints and finally to prepare this review.

I enjoyed this puzzle which was of a nice standard for a Toughie. It felt like a 3* difficulty puzzle when I was solving it but my final time suggested it might merit 4 stars

Hello everyone. I have no doubt that the setter of today’s crossword is Ray T – the clues have all his trademarks and anyway it’s his week. I didn’t think that it was one of his trickier ones but, as always, I’m perfectly happy for any of you to disagree with me.… Continue reading

Morning All! This one went in remarkably quickly for me and I usually prefer a stiffer test on a Sunday but the puzzle featured the usual fine constructions. Continue reading “ST 2818”
