As I test solved this one, I cannot enter the competition. It is very cleverly done and when the penny drops, you appreciate it all the more. Many thanks to Radler for the challenge.
What Prolixic said.
What devious cleverness! Needed a bit of Google assistance for some of the eight, but got there eventually. Certainly a real challenge for me this month.
Thanks Radler.
Wonderful crossword. The style and humour worked perfectly for me, e.g 12A, 11A & 32A. Great twist too. Many thanks!
Not many comments on this Prize Puzzle from Radler – I wonder why?
When the penny finally dropped – CLANG!
I have the answer to the question, I think, even though I’m still uncertain about one of the extra letters.
How on earth are these setters so devious and so CLEVER?
Aha! A few clues left to conquer yet, but I have it :). I’ll wait until I’ve finished before submitting, though. Lovely crossword – thanks Radler!
I’ve finished the crossword – I think I have all the letters, although I’m a bit doubtful about one, and now I’m stuck.
I’ll keep battling – plenty of time left.
I thought this was very enjoyable and very difficult – it’s taken me ages.
