  1. If you are reading Radler’s instructions and think ‘what???’ do perservate as it is a splendid crossword with lots of d’oh moments and even one ‘Gordon Bennett!!’ My favourite clues were 24a and 13/17. Thanks to Radler for another fun crossword…. you’ve been a bit quiet lately, hope there are some more to come soon.

  2. ….. I don’t even understand the instructions!! Will have a go later and hope that all becomes a bit clearer than it looks at the moment!

    1. I’m with you on this Kath. It’s about as clear as swamp water to this thick Northerner. I’ll keep persevating but I can see Mrs S at the bottom of the garden and it looks like I may be required to do some serious lopping of branches.

      1. Try ignoring the linked homophone clues and concentrate on the ‘ordinary’ cryptics. This will give you checking letters which will help with the linked clues. Well it did me, anyway.

  3. I’m only halfway through this,(interrupted by the boat race) but what a fun puzzle, clever as well can’t imagine how long it took to compile. Back to the grindstone.

  4. I finally managed to complete this – what a superb puzzle with some hilarious clues, some of my favourites being 11a, 22/30a, 8/27d and 23/3d. Thanks to Radler for all the enjoyment.
