  1. Very enjoyable puzzle. Thanks Alchemi. Smiles from 27a. Remember 4d with Mary Ford singing The World is Waiting for the Sunrise, thanks (or no thanks) to a sister 10 years older than me who played it all day long!

  2. Interesting trivia from down under… expected 27 Ac to be unsolvable referencing little-known UK pollies (I didn’t even know the Liberal Party existed). Then a double-take, after the answer became clear: in Australia the former Liberal (hard right-wing, not small-l liberal) Party leader was Sir Robert Menzies, nickname “Ming.”

    Favourite has to 18d, but all the clues are good. Please keep them coming like this.
