This week we have a puzzle from old friend Chaz, back again after a three-month break. There is a bit of a theme running through this one. It was new to me but I managed to work it out.

Thanks to Chaz for the entertainment. 20/23a is not an author I’m familiar with, but managed to get him from the wordplay. My favourite clue was also 16d.
Very nice Saturday lunchtime diversion, thank you Chaz. I will ‘thirds’ 16d as a favourite but I am intigued to know the answer to the question posed in 3/6
I too liked the puzzle, but for me the best clues were 11a and 15a.
