A very entertaining crossword, if slightly tougher than previous Prolixic offerings, Highly recommended and if you are stuck, as I was on at least one lot of wordplay, I will be back later with a review.
Thanks to Prolixic for a very enjoyable puzzle. Unlike Crypticsue I thought that this was slightly easier than some of his previous puzzles – perhaps I’m tuning in to his wavelength. Favourite clues: 12a (would probably have taken longer if we hadn’t had it in Wednesday’s Toughie), 28a and 16d.
I did smile at the Wednesday Toughie clue for 12a.
I must have put my comment on this in the wrong place, I said v enjoyable, but why 20 a?
It’s an anagram.
