Cruciverbalists’ Convention (Apr 2011)

Cruciverbalists’ Convention

+ – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – +

It’s time once again for a meeting in London so come along and join us at the The Bricklayer’s Arms, 32 Waterman Street, Putney, London, SW15 1DD on the 30th April – any time between 12noon and 7.00pm.

All are welcome and you can enjoy a host of real ales.  If the weather is fine you can sit out in the sun.

Early birds can meet up at the The Rocket, Putney Wharf Tower, Brewhouse Lane, Putney, SW15 2JQ from 9.00am for breakfast and bevvies.

This get-together is a joint Big Dave / Elgar / Jetdoc production.

  1. It’s a little bit removed from the Thames, actually, but we can still sit in the sun. BD and I will, however, be meeting at an earlier waterside (W’spoons) location.

  2. Would love to meet all you guys but unfortunately we’re off back to Spain on the 27th.

  3. Slightly questionable pub choices, but I shall definitely look in, as it’s a few hundred yards from home :-)

      1. i.e. “Gambler sozzled with ale”.

I had the Bricklayers down as my pub of last year – have things changed, Nik?

  4. I hope everyone has a great time. Apologies for not being able to attend (I know I owe BD a couple of pints for past indiscretions – and by now I need to pay for a round for all the bloggers!). Best wishes to all,

  5. Sorry can’t make it as I have to go down to the west country for my niece’s 21st birthday do. All the best Cx

  6. Would love to come and meet people, but have a wedding at home 2 weeks later, and will be gardening frantically. Does this happen every year ?

  7. Eeek! – a compact and bijou mini crisisette means that I may not be able to get up there today or else might only get in late. Damn and Blast.

  8. My comments on the very nice afternoon are on yesterday’s H&T page. I am currently sorting out the photos.
