Thank you Tilsit for a very entertaining lunchtime puzzle. The bottom half fell into place relatively quickly but I did have to think laterally for some of the top half. My favourite clues include 1a, 15a, 23a, and 16d. Happy New Year to you, hope you are soon back home.
Many thanks, Tllsit, for an thoroughly enjoyable puzzle although my last two answers took longer than most. Favourites were 2d (which brought back memories of trying to cover a kitchen table top and ending up with more creases than success), 6d and 16d.
