Very good, very deceptive, a puzzle that is all that it is cracked up to be! Many thanks to Anax for a treat of a solve. Favourite clues were 17a and 16d.
Totally agree with Prolixic. Very enjoyable and a very clever idea for the theme! There were so many good clues. I particularly liked 6d and of course 22d, which would have been excellent even in an unthemed puzzle.
