A few items of news.
Some of you may have noticed that I have changed the title of the site by dropping the word “Telegraph”. I have done this for two reasons. Primarily because the emphasis is being changed by the addition of guest puzzles and articles. Secondly to clarify that this site has no connection with any other organisation. Don’t worry – we will still bring you the same excellent service as ever, just more of it.
Today we have another guest puzzle. This is an excellent themed puzzle from our very own Prolixic and will be available from 12 noon.
From today the assessment of the Saturday Prize puzzle is solely in your hands – let us know what you think.
Finally, it is only six weeks since I announced that this site’s Alexa rating had dipped below 1,000,000 – well thanks to the support from all you lovely people this rating today dipped below 500,000. What this means is that we are in the top half-million websites in the world – our UK rating is even better at 18,427! How many websites are there? You might well ask. The truth is that any figure is out-of-date well before it is published, but as of February 2007, the Netcraft Web Server Survey found 108,810,358.

The last three days have shown record levels of interest, with Thursday being our best day ever and yesterday being our best ever for a Saturday.
