This weekend, I am going away for a couple of days. Everything was planned until I had a power cut this morning. On rebooting the machine, I found that the hard drive was corrupted and I had to reload Windows. Two more power cuts and a lot of thumping of mouse and keyboard later I have managed to get back online, but with no time to do today’s hints.
Fortunately Gazza, who was already going to do tomorrow’s hints, has stepped in at very short notice and will be doing today’s as well. I’ll be back by Monday afternoon.

We get quite a lot of small power cuts or micro couperes as they are known in these parts. Shortly after moving I invested in a UPS, I think perhaps you might want to consider it too. They are invaluable.
Hi, to a novice what is a UPS?, sounds like BD could do with one to help us visitors to his Blog!.
Kram
It’s an Uninterruptible Power Supply which gives you enough power to shut the machine down in an orderly fashion.
Whether it would have prevented the hard drive corruption, I don’t know.
